Even feminists, and even feminists who write about household labor inequity, tend to dismiss it as a trivial problem. But household labor inequity is a key driver of women’s equality. For women to show up at work, in their communities, and in the political world, they must not have an unmanageable load of work, and partners who actively undermine them.
